- Shunting creates a path of least resistance to produce a stronger spot weld bond and better-defined spot weld nuggets
- Current flows between the Swivel Pads burning away the E-Coat at the point of contact to create a fusion weld yet the remaining E-Coat between the panels is preserved.
- Dual non-conductive washers to ensure that current flows only thru the Electrode Contacts
